48th edition: jazz with global colors
The 48th edition of Souillac en Jazz took place from July 13 to 20, 2024. Under the theme of international openness, this edition highlighted artists from the United States, Japan, Mali, and Turkey.
Headliners
- Cécile McLorin Salvant: American singer, three-time Grammy Award winner, a major figure in contemporary vocal jazz
- Renaud Garcia-Fons: five-string virtuoso double bassist, accompanied by Kiko Ruiz (guitar), Derya Türkan (kemençe), Serkan Halili (kanun), Clément Janinet and Adama Sidibé (violin), Clément Petit (cello), and Joachim Florent (double bass)
- Prospectus: winners of Jazz Migration 2024, revelation of the year
Festival Off
About twenty free concerts animated Souillac and its surroundings: Rose Betty Klub in a park, Pepper Swing, Risha, and the Wonder Brass Quartet in the streets and squares. Concerts also took place in Calès, in the Lacave caves, and in Pinsac. A musical hike, a film screening, and an exhibition completed this edition.
