Strange Festival

22nd edition: punk and reggae in attendance

For its 22nd edition, the Strange Festival took over the Espace Gitton in Châtillon-sur-Loire on August 23rd and 24th, 2024, offering, as usual, two evenings with distinct musical styles.

Friday, August 23rd was dedicated to punk and alternative rock. Banane Métalik, an iconic figure of French trash punk known for their wild shows, rocked the stage alongside Dropdead Chaos, an energetic band mixing punk and hardcore. Les Excités and Hélianthème completed this first electrifying evening.

Saturday, August 24th shifted the mood with the reggae of Broussaï, a key band on the French reggae scene, followed by Lemon Furia and Spoink. The inter-stage entertainment was provided by La Charcuterie musicale, a regular at the festival, punctuating the stage changes with humor and energy.

Local food, craft beers, an artist market, and camping by the Loire river completed this friendly and festive edition in the courtyard of the Maison Gitton.
