23rd edition: from punk to natural trance

The 23rd edition of the Strange Festival took place on August 22nd and 23rd, 2025, at the Espace Gitton in Châtillon-sur-Loire, once again offering two evenings with radically different atmospheres.

Friday, August 22nd was dedicated to punk in all its forms. Brigitte Bop, a French punk rock band with over 24 years of career and 6 albums, opened the festivities at 8 PM with their distorted guitars and French lyrics. Broken Bomb, a band from Rennes offering an explosive mix of punk hardcore, rock'n'roll, and crossover, took over at 10 PM. The evening concluded at 11:30 PM with Poésie Zéro, a punk band as energetic as it is humorous.

Saturday, August 23rd shifted to warmer and more festive sounds. Maxxo opened the evening at 8 PM with his blend of roots and dancehall. Los Tres Puntos, with 28 years of ska activism and over 900 concerts in Europe and Mexico, ignited the stage at 9:30 PM. The highlight of the edition was the concert by Hilight Tribe at 11:30 PM, an iconic natural trance band blending electronic music and traditional acoustic instruments.

The inter-stage entertainment, provided by La Charcuterie musicale, maintained the festive energy between each concert.
