Edition 2025 — Tango en Velay
First edition of the Tango en Velay festival in Brives-Charensac, September 26, 27, and 28, 2025. Three days of Argentine tango with milongas, live orchestras (Ensemble Hyperion, Orchestre des Ateliers des Arts), DJs (Clarita Tralala, Jean-François, Brigitte), a rhythm workshop with Christian Rollet, and a Sunday brunch.

First Edition: Tango Arrives in Velay
For its first edition, the Tango en Velay festival took over Brives-Charensac from September 26 to 28, 2025, offering three days of Argentine tango in a warm and elegant atmosphere.
On Friday evening, the free opening milonga at the Smart Cabaret set the tone for the weekend, welcoming dancers of all levels for a first convivial evening from 9 PM to 1 AM.
On Saturday, the festivities moved to the Maison Pour Tous with an afternoon milonga hosted by DJ Clarita Tralala, followed by the grand evening milonga featuring the Ensemble Hyperion, an internationally renowned Argentine tango orchestra founded in 1992 with over 1,200 concerts across four continents. DJ Jean-François completed the musical program for this festive evening.
Sunday offered a rhythm workshop led by professional percussionist Christian Rollet, accompanied by a convivial brunch, before a final afternoon milonga with the Orchestre des Ateliers des Arts from the Puy-en-Velay conservatory and DJ Brigitte, beautifully closing this first tango weekend.
