1st Edition of TotalFestum « A La Montanha » — June 6 to 8, 2025
From June 6 to 8, 2025, the village of Lacaze experienced its first major cultural celebration with TotalFestum « A La Montanha ». This foundational edition brought together Occitan culture and world music for a three-day open-air weekend in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park.
Artists from Brazil set Lacaze vibrating with the rhythms of forró and samba de roda. Mexican musicians shared the traditions of son jarocho. Artists from Réunion introduced maloya and Creole séga. And throughout the festival, Occitan groups and singers highlighted the richness and vitality of the region's language and traditions.
Dance workshops, introductions to the Occitan language, exhibitions, and tastings of local specialties complemented the musical program, all in a festive and popular atmosphere. Free admission allowed for a large audience from Lacaze, the Tarn department, and neighboring areas.
