Edition 2025 — Trail du Saint-Jacques
The 2025 edition of the Trail du Saint-Jacques by UTMB set a historic record with 6,500 registered runners representing 59 nationalities, an increase of over 1,000 participants compared to 2024. With six races on the program, including the new event Le 12 du Dolaizon, and 1,200 volunteers mobilized, the event confirmed its status as an international benchmark for trail running in France.

Record Edition: 6,500 Runners from 59 Nationalities
The 2025 edition of the Trail du Saint-Jacques by UTMB, held from June 13 to 15, 2025, broke all records with 6,500 registered runners, an increase of over 1,000 participants compared to 2024. The event welcomed athletes from 59 nationalities, accompanied by over 3,000 people, confirming the international reach of this UTMB World Series certified event.
1,200 volunteers were mobilized to ensure the smooth running of the six races offered this year. The 2025 edition notably saw the creation of a new event, Le 12 du Dolaizon, a 12 km trail with 210 m of elevation gain, accessible from 16 years old, offering an introduction to trail running in a pastoral setting along the Dolaizon river.
The six events of this edition were:
- Ultra du Saint-Jacques: 134 km, 6,050 m D+, starting from Saugues on Friday, June 13
- Grand Trail du Saint-Jacques: 81 km, 3,400 m D+, starting from Monistrol-d'Allier on Saturday, June 14
- Monistrail: 54 km, 2,050 m D+
- Les Chibottes: 26 km, 750 m D+
- Le 12 du Dolaizon: 12 km, 210 m D+ (new in 2025)
- Randonnée du Saint-Jacques: 26 km
All finishes took place in front of the Notre-Dame du Puy-en-Velay Cathedral, offering runners and spectators intense emotional moments in an exceptional heritage setting.

- Thursday, June 12: Opening of the trail village. Bib collection. Conferences and activities.
- Friday, June 13: Start of the Ultra du Saint-Jacques (134 km) from Saugues. Bib collection. Village activities.
- Saturday, June 14: Starts of the Grand Trail (81 km) from Monistrol-d'Allier, the Monistrail (54 km), Les Chibottes (26 km), Le 12 du Dolaizon (12 km), and the Hike. Finishes in front of the cathedral.
- Sunday, June 15: Final arrivals. Award ceremony. Village closure.
