Transhumance in Barousse - 2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Transhumance in Barousse took place on June 6 and 7, 2025, under the title 'Marche ou bêle'.

On Friday, June 6, walkers accompanied the flocks from Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges for an 11 km walk to Mauléon-Barousse, with a departure at 5 PM. The evening continued around a campfire with a free concert by the band Parpalhon, blending rock and Occitan music.

On Saturday, June 7, the flocks left Mauléon-Barousse between 7 AM and 9 AM to reach the Granges de Crouhens (8 km), then the high-altitude pastures (10 km more). The day concluded with a regional meal in Sacoué at 7 PM, hosted by the Folies Bandas.
