Transhumance 2024: The Grand Parade on June 15th
The Transhumance en Haut-Salat 2024 took place on Saturday, June 15th in Seix. The day began with the blessing of the herds in front of the church of Seix between 9 AM and 10 AM, followed by the grand parade of herds from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM, animated by the folk groups Tradadou and Béthmalaise.
In the afternoon, a market of local artisans and producers offered cheeses, cured meats, and crafts from Couserans, accompanied by traditional demonstrations: wheat threshing, sheep shearing, rope making, manual milking, and butter making.
