Transhumance 2025: Over 4,000 Animals on the March
The Transhumance en Haut-Salat 2025 took place on Saturday, June 14th in Seix. Over 4,000 animals — sheep, cows, horses, and Mérens — participated in the grand parade through the village, escorted by shepherds and enlivened by folk groups.
The blessing of the herds in front of the church of Seix preceded the parade. In the afternoon, the market of local artisans and producers and the demonstrations of traditional know-how completed this festive and moving day.
