Edition 2014 — Un Piano à la Mer
The 8th edition of the Un Piano à la Mer Floating Festival was held from August 22nd to September 20th, 2014, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The program included: floating recitals with pianist and conductor Bruno Fontaine, the folk swing group Miss White, the Gamelan Bintang Tiga (Balinese music), pianist François-René Duchâble, and Yetem (Latin musical comedy). Concerts took place at Lake Sainte-Croix, on the beaches of Corbières and Catalans in Marseille, and in Carry-le-Rouet.
8th Edition of the Un Piano à la Mer Floating Festival
The 8th edition of the Un Piano à la Mer Floating Festival took place from August 22nd to September 20th, 2014, across four sites on the Mediterranean coast.
The festival opened at Lake Sainte-Croix in the Verdon region (August 22-23), before moving to the Marseille beaches: Corbières Beach in L'Estaque (September 5-6) and Catalans Beach (September 12-13). The closing event was held at Cap Rousset Beach in Carry-le-Rouet on September 20th.
The program highlighted musical diversity with pianist and conductor Bruno Fontaine, the folk swing group Miss White, the Gamelan Bintang Tiga with its enchanting Balinese sounds, virtuoso pianist François-René Duchâble, and the group Yetem blending comedy and Latin music. Spectators were able to discover the aquatic creations of Compagnie La Rumeur, including the floating piano and the famous pianocktail.
