Water is Memory
2025
Edition 2025 — Finished
Edition 2025 — Water is Memory
10th Edition — Water is Memory 2025
The 10th edition of the Water is Memory festival took place from May 1st to 24th, 2025, in Vichy and the Allier region, marking a decade of artistic exploration of memory by the Procédé Zèbre company.
The festival opened on Thursday, May 1st at 6:30 PM with the vernissage of the photographic exhibition L'Indicible by Brigitte Brihat, followed at 8:30 PM by the final performances of Chez les fous, a foundational play by the company. The project Sigmaringen — On the Trail of Lisa Franck, a Franco-German collaboration, brought its energy to this anniversary edition.
Four participatory workshops allowed high school students, amateur artists, and citizens to engage in creation workshops focused on memory. The Memory Bus offered an itinerant memory and artistic journey between villages and the Allier river. Conferences and meetings fostered reflection on the memory of World War II and contemporary forms of resistance.
