Apt Cherry Festival 2025

In June 2025, the Apt Cherry Festival brought together locals and visitors around the emblematic fruit of the Pays d'Apt. The city center was filled with cherry producers from the Luberon orchards, Apt confectioners, and food artisans for two days of popular, gourmet, and festive celebration.

The producers' market offered fresh cherries of the day, artisanal jams, cherry liqueurs, and candied cherries. The confectioners of Apt held demonstrations of traditional confit making, revealing the secrets of the know-how that has made Apt world-famous. The public could observe the transformation of fresh cherries into candied fruits according to recipes passed down through generations.

The popular contests — cherry pit spitting, fastest cherry eater, most beautiful cherry — livened up the squares of the old town in a warm and friendly festive atmosphere. Provençal musicians and street artists accompanied the two days, culminating in the final farandole that brought together young and old in the alleys of Apt.
