2nd Edition of the AR(t)CHIPEL Festival — Autumn 2024
For its second edition, the AR(t)CHIPEL festival continued its exploration of contemporary creation from October 18 to November 3, 2024, traveling through the six departments of the Centre-Val de Loire region.
In the Loiret, the All Saints' Day weekend (November 1st and 2nd) allowed the public to discover the department's artist studios. The studio of Vincent Barré, a multidisciplinary artist based in Saint-Firmin-des-Bois, and that of sculptors and architects Marthe and Jean-Marie Simonnet in Griselles opened their doors for free. The FRAC Centre-Val de Loire presented Tobrouk (2021) by Anne Houel and hosted an evening of performances and gastronomic discoveries on November 2nd.
A tour in Amilly also featured the discovery of a meditative wall decoration by Bruno Rousselot in the Saint-Firmin-des-Vignes church. Architecture was a major focus of this edition, in conjunction with the FRAC Centre-Val de Loire, which specializes in architecture and contemporary art.
