2026 Edition: A Break is Necessary

The association Au Foin De La Rue has announced that the festival will not be held in 2026. After 24 editions, the organization is facing a drastic increase in costs: logistical expenses have risen by 94% since 2018 and artistic expenses by 65%. The festival's budget now reaches 1.3 million euros, of which less than 20% comes from public subsidies.

These financial difficulties are compounded by increasingly heavy security and administrative constraints for an associative structure supported by volunteers. The association has chosen to take a break—not an end—in order to rethink the festival's format and imagine a viable model for the future.

Since autumn 2025, working groups have been formed to consider the technical, ethical, and artistic aspects of the next edition. The festival is expected to return in 2027.

The association continues its cultural activities throughout the year in Saint-Denis-de-Gastines: concerts, workshops, and participatory projects continue to animate the region.
