Bravade de Saint-Tropez 2025

From May 16 to 18, 2025, Saint-Tropez celebrated its annual bravade, reviving a tradition that has been unbroken since 1558. For three days, the old village of Saint-Tropez regained its old-world soul, its narrow streets echoing with the crack of musket volleys and the roll of drums from the company of bravadeurs.

The grand procession on May 17 was the heart of the festival: led by the Captain of the Bravade, the bravadeurs in red and white uniforms paraded through the colorful streets of the old village and the port quays, firing resounding volleys that made the facades of the Tropezian houses vibrate. The reliquary bust of Saint Torpes, the city's patron saint, was carried in solemn procession amidst the reverent crowd of locals and visitors.

True to its age-old tradition, the 2025 bravade mobilized dozens of bravadeurs from all generations of Saint-Tropez, demonstrating the vitality of a festival that remains, above all, a celebration of the Tropezian community itself, far beyond the city's international tourism and fame.

Bravade 2025 Program

• Friday, May 16: Official opening, appointment of the Captain of the Bravade, first religious ceremonies at the parish church
• Saturday, May 17: Grand armed procession in the old village and on the port quays, volleys of muskets and cannons, drum and fife music, procession of the reliquary bust of Saint Torpes
• Sunday, May 18: Solemn mass in honor of Saint Torpes, final procession, official closing of the Bravade
