Cabaret Frappé 2025 - 26th Edition

The 26th edition of Cabaret Frappé took over the Jardin de Ville in Grenoble from July 16 to 20, 2025, offering five evenings of completely free concerts. This edition brought together 18 groups and nearly 100 artists and technicians on the festival's two stages.

The remarkably gender-balanced lineup highlighted ten female acts, six male acts, and two mixed groups, confirming the festival's commitment to equality. Seven local Grenoble groups, seven French artists, and four international bands created a rich and diverse program.

The highlight of this edition was the concert by the legendary Orchestra Baobab, a mythical band from Dakar specializing in Afro-Cuban music, which closed the opening night. The program also gave prominence to musical diversity, from Queralt Lahoz's flamenco pop to Ben PLG's committed rap, including Sumac Dub's electronic dub and Labess's chaâbi and rumba rhythms.

Activities began each day at 6 PM with organic and local catering, followed by concerts from 7 PM to 11:30 PM, except on Sunday when concerts started earlier at 5 PM. The festival once again confirmed its role as a trailblazer and discoverer of talents on the contemporary music scene.
