2024 Edition
On October 19 and 20, 2024, Villefranche-du-Périgord hosted its traditional Chestnut and Cèpe Festival. The chestnut market, craft demonstrations (basket weaving, woodturning), fresh apple juice pressing, and the famous stone spitting contest enlivened the town. The Croquants d'Escornabou provided the folk entertainment, while the Confrérie de la Châtaigne held its solemn ceremonies.
