Edition 2025 — Circuit des Chapelles
Purcell and Baroque music at the heart of Breton heritage
The 2025 edition of the Circuit des Chapelles took place from July 11 to August 15, offering an exceptional musical program. The highlight of this edition was the performance of Dioclesian, a semi-opera tragedy-comedy by Purcell (1690), where music and theater merge to evoke Diocletian and 17th-century European Baroque.
Musicians explored a vast repertoire, from the compositions of Diego Ortiz to the works of Telemann, spanning styles and eras from the Renaissance to the late Baroque. Breton songs and secular and lyrical music also enriched the program, celebrating traditions and musical discoveries between history and emotion.
