Classical music concerts and heritage in the chapels of Trégor
The Circuit des Chapelles is a cultural discovery event collectively organized by fifteen towns in Trégor, in Côtes-d'Armor. Each summer, from mid-July to mid-August, about twenty of the most beautiful chapels and churches in the area open their doors to the public, creating an itinerary that combines arts, heritage, and nature.
The artistic program of the Circuit des Chapelles offers an excellent musical lineup, focusing on classical music and early music. The concerts take place in the remarkable acoustics of Breton chapels, providing an intimate and spiritual setting for performers and the audience. The repertoire explores a vast musical panorama, from the Renaissance to the late Baroque, including compositions by Diego Ortiz, Purcell, and Telemann.
The chapels of Trégor constitute an exceptional architectural and historical heritage. Each building tells a unique story, with its altarpieces, stained glass windows, fountains, and calvaries. The Circuit des Chapelles allows for the rediscovery of this living heritage through guided hikes, conferences, and exhibitions that accompany the concerts throughout the month.
With 25,000 visitors each summer, the Circuit des Chapelles has become a must-attend event in the cultural life of Côtes-d'Armor. Hikers, music lovers, and heritage enthusiasts gather on the trails of Trégor for a month of discoveries between Breton landscapes, sacred architecture, and chamber music.
