Photography at the heart of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc

Born in 2012 under the name PhotoReporter, the Photo Festival Baie de Saint-Brieuc is a cultural project supported by Saint-Brieuc Armor Agglomération. In more than a decade, it has established itself as a major photographic event in Brittany, offering high-quality exhibitions in public spaces throughout the agglomeration.

Free outdoor exhibitions

The festival is distinguished by its unique format: outdoor exhibitions, accessible free of charge for more than four months, from April to August. The works take over the streets, parks, and urban spaces of Saint-Brieuc and surrounding towns, offering the widest possible access to contemporary photography.

Strong societal themes

Each edition addresses a societal theme: environmental, social, and cultural transitions, relationship to the territory, identities, and diversity. The festival supports professional photographers by providing them with the means to create exhibitions and reach a wide audience. Artist residencies in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc complete the program.

Mediation and encounters

Beyond the exhibitions, the Photo Festival offers guided tours, meetings with photographers, mediation workshops on photography and media, as well as educational projects in conjunction with cultural and educational stakeholders in the region.
