Run Ar Puns: Over 40 Years of Contemporary Music in Central Finistère

Since 1978, Run Ar Puns has been a pillar of the Breton music scene. Located on Route de Pleyben in Châteaulin, this labeled contemporary music venue has become, over the decades, an essential place for live music lovers in Finistère. The Run Ar Puñs association (RAPASS), which manages the artistic and cultural project, celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2018.

A Rich and Eclectic Program

With around sixty concerts per year, Run Ar Puns offers a highly diverse program. Rock, pop, electro, world music, French chanson, hip-hop, jazz, folk, and traditional Breton music: all genres meet on this stage, which emphasizes discovery and emerging artists. Both established artists and up-and-coming talents perform here in an intimate and warm atmosphere.

A Complete Cultural Hub

Run Ar Puns is more than just concerts. The venue hosts a friendly bar, an organic and local market, a professional rehearsal studio, conferences, documentary screenings, and game nights. The FestouRun, a monthly event on the first Friday of each month, offers an original concept combining fest-noz and initiation to Breton dances, open to all in a spirit of openness and sharing.

True to its mission of musical transmission and discovery, Run Ar Puns regularly programs concerts for young audiences and musical shows for families, such as "Kick & Flûte" or the musical tale "Que vois-tu?", contributing to the artistic awakening of the youngest.
