The CultureS Hip Hop Festival is a multidisciplinary festival dedicated to hip-hop culture, organized every autumn in Quimper by the association Hip Hop New School. Founded in 2005 by young Quimper enthusiasts, this festival offers three weeks of intense programming around all facets of hip-hop: dance, rap, graffiti, DJing, beatboxing, parkour, discovery workshops, film screenings, conferences, and exchanges. The highlight of each edition, the Battle New School International, brings together the best breakdance dancers in the world in a spectacular competition. The festival is for all audiences, from novices to insiders, and has been promoting and democratizing hip-hop culture in Cornouaille, Finistère, and Brittany for twenty years.
The CultureS Hip Hop Festival was born in 2005 in Quimper, driven by the association Hip Hop New School, created in 2002 by young urban culture enthusiasts. Since its first edition, the festival has continued to grow to become one of the major cultural events in Brittany, dedicated to promoting and celebrating all disciplines of hip-hop.

The highlight of each edition is the Battle New School International, a breakdance competition that brings together the best dancers in the world. This battle, which has become a benchmark in the hip-hop scene, attracts competitors and spectators from all over France and abroad. The event takes place on the festival's closing night and is a breathtaking spectacle.
The CultureS Hip Hop Festival is for all audiences, from children to adults, from novices to insiders. Discovery workshops offer introductions to hip-hop dance, graffiti, beatboxing, and DJing. Film screenings and conferences shed light on the history and issues of hip-hop culture. Performances by contemporary urban dance companies complete a rich and accessible program.
The association Hip Hop New School, based in Quimper, currently supports nearly 480 students in the regular practice of hip-hop dance across 13 towns in the department. Beyond the festival, the association develops an educational department (dance teaching) and an event department (organization of cultural events and support for youth projects). Its commitment to democratizing hip-hop culture in rural and urban areas makes it a key cultural player in Finistère.

The festival celebrates its 20th edition from October 17 to November 8, 2025 in Quimper and Finistère. This anniversary edition offers three weeks of programming around all facets of hip-hop culture: dance, rap, graffiti, parkour, beatbox, discovery workshops, screenings, conferences, and exchanges.
The highlight remains the Battle New School International, a breakdance competition bringing together the best dancers in the world on the closing night. This special edition explores the theme of ecology and aims to raise public awareness of its values through art and sharing.
