Tregorois Heritage Celebrated

The Gouel Bro Plistin (literally "Festival of the Plestin region" in Breton) is the flagship event of the association Dañs Treger, which works to promote Tregorois culture. For nearly thirty years, this festival has been held every November in Plestin-les-Grèves and surrounding towns, offering a rich program centered around the intangible heritage of Tregorois.

A Multidisciplinary Program

Gouel Bro Plistin unfolds over about ten days with various events:

• Dance Competitions: Traditional dance competitions, qualifying for the Brittany championships.
• Music Competitions: Musician competitions by category.
• Traditional dance and music workshops.
• Fest-noz and traditional balls.
• Storytelling evenings in Breton and French.
• Musical aperitifs and singing meals.
• Cinema evenings: Screenings of films related to Breton culture.

Dañs Treger Dance

The festival particularly highlights Dañs Treger, the traditional dance specific to the Tregorois region. The dance competitions organized during Gouel Bro Plistin are qualifying events for the Brittany Traditional Dance Championships, attracting the best dance couples from the region.
