Si On Jazz'ay: the jazz festival of the Estuary and Sillon

Born in 2016 from the passion of the association Le Verbe Figuré, chaired by Jean-François Arthur, the Si On Jazz'ay festival is the first jazz festival in Savenay and the Estuaire et Sillon community of communes. Supported by the Pays de la Loire Region and the city of Savenay, this autumn event has become, over the editions, a must-attend event for jazz lovers in Loire-Atlantique.

An eclectic and open program for everyone

The festival stands out for its desire to showcase the many facets of jazz through a rich and varied program. From gypsy jazz to swing, from gospel to soul, from jazz rock to rap jazz, including bossa nova and blues, each edition explores a wide musical spectrum. The festival has notably hosted artists such as Christian Morin (godfather of the 2018 edition, Sydney Bechet prize winner), Laurent Coulondre (Revelation of the Victoires du Jazz 2016), Dana Luciano Quintet, Daniel Givone Quartet (gypsy jazz), The Sassy Swingers, Soul Kays (tribute to Otis Redding), and Keep on Gospel.

A springboard for local talent

Beyond the national headliners, Si On Jazz'ay gives an important place to the local scene. The festival regularly offers a Jazz Talent Competition allowing young local groups to perform in front of a large audience. Groups like La Boîte à Musique (students from the Savenay music school), the Sillon Jazz Orchestra, or the Collectif Jazz Estuaire participate in the event each year, embodying the festival's territorial roots.

A traveling festival across the territory

Since its beginnings at the Salle Équinoxe in Savenay, the festival has gradually extended its program to several towns in the Estuaire et Sillon community of communes. Concerts are now also held at the Domaine de Lescuray in Prinquiau, at the Salle des Fontenelles in Le Temple de Bretagne, at the Salle de la Vallée in La Chapelle-Launay, and at the Espace Montluc in Saint-Étienne-de-Montluc. This traveling dimension allows the festival to reach a wider audience and create links between the towns in the region.

Varied and friendly formats

The festival offers different types of shows to satisfy all audiences:

  • Evening concerts at the Salle Équinoxe and in partner towns
  • Free jazz aperitifs on the Place des Halles in Savenay
  • Cine-concerts at the CinéNova cinema (silent films accompanied by live music)
  • Jazz cabarets in intimate venues
  • Musical afternoons and musical readings
  • Jazz Talent Competition for local groups

The festival spans several weeks between October and November, with a highlight on the main weekend in Savenay. Ticket prices remain affordable, with tickets ranging from 10 to 20 euros and many free events, making jazz accessible to the greatest number.

Si On Jazz'ay — edition 2026

The 10th edition of the Si On Jazz'ay festival will be held in the fall of 2026 in Savenay and the towns of the Estuaire et Sillon community of communes. The festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a program promising new jazz discoveries.

10th Edition — The festival celebrates its 10th anniversary

The Si On Jazz'ay festival returns in the fall of 2026 for its 10th edition, marking a decade of jazz in the territory of the Estuaire et Sillon community of communes. Concerts will be held at the Salle Équinoxe in Savenay and in partner towns.

The full program will be unveiled on the official website jazz-festival-savenay.com and on the festival's Facebook page.
