Festival of contemporary music in 4 collections
Created in 1998 in Saint-Philbert-en-Mauges and established in Chemillé-en-Anjou since 2002, the Les Z'Éclectiques festival is a major contemporary music event in Maine-et-Loire. Organized by the Collectif Les Z'Éclectiques, this unique festival is divided into four seasonal collections: Autumn (curious and popular), Winter (precious and intimate), Spring (alternative and trendy), and Summer (secret and surprising). Supported by nearly 300 volunteers, the festival offers an eclectic program mixing headliners and emerging artists at the Théâtre Foirail in Chemillé and in various partner venues in the Choletais region.
Since 1998, the Les Z'Éclectiques festival has offered an original approach to music programming by dividing itself into four seasonal collections, each with its own identity. Born on August 29 and 30, 1998, in Saint-Philbert-en-Mauges, the festival settled in Chemillé-en-Anjou, where it has become a key player in the cultural life of Maine-et-Loire.
The Autumn Collection, curious and popular, is the festival's highlight. For three days in November, it brings together headliners and emerging artists at the Théâtre Foirail in Chemillé-en-Anjou for intense and festive concerts. The Winter Collection, precious and intimate, offers concerts in atypical and warm venues in February, prioritizing proximity between artists and the audience. The Spring Collection, alternative and trendy, showcases new sounds and up-and-coming artists. The Summer Collection, secret and surprising, takes the audience to unexpected places for musical strolls in nature.
The festival is driven by the Collectif Les Z'Éclectiques, an association that brings together nearly 300 music-loving volunteers. This collective works in partnership with many cultural structures in the region: the Théâtre Foirail of Chemillé-en-Anjou (Scène de Pays), the Jardin de Verre, the Bouche à l'Oreille, the Conservatoire du Choletais, and other partner venues.
True to its name, the festival cultivates musical eclecticism: rock, pop, electro, French chanson, hip-hop, folk, jazz, world music, and many other genres cross paths throughout the collections. This diversity is the signature of Les Z'Éclectiques and attracts a curious and discerning audience eager to discover new musical horizons throughout the year.
Les Z'Éclectiques 2026 offers its four seasonal collections. The Winter 2026 Collection takes place from February 4 to 13. The Spring, Summer, and Autumn Collections will follow throughout the year, with the Autumn Collection being the highlight in November at the Théâtre Foirail in Chemillé-en-Anjou.
The Les Z'Éclectiques festival unfolds its four collections in 2026. The Winter 2026 Collection opens the cycle from February 4 to 7 and February 12 and 13, with a precious and intimate program in atypical venues. The Spring and Summer Collections will follow throughout the year. The Autumn 2026 Collection, the festival's highlight, will take over the Théâtre Foirail in Chemillé-en-Anjou in November.
