Festival of popular world music in Brest
NoBorder is the festival of popular world music rooted in Brest, at the tip of Finistère. Created in 2011, this rhizomatic festival unfolds every December in and around the city of Brest to celebrate cultural diversity, musical hybridization, and the mixing of genres. As an eternal adolescent, NoBorder tirelessly breaks down all barriers to offer large-scale concerts as well as intimate acoustic sessions, dance performances, debates, and workshops. Co-created by five major cultural organizations — Le Quartz, Bretagne(s) World Sounds, Drom, La Carène, and Plages Magnétiques —, the festival resonates with world music in Brest's venues with an insatiable appetite for the unexpected, for otherness, and for sharing.
