Corso Fleuri 2025 — 'Abracadabra', April 13th

The Corso Fleuri du Lavandou 2025 enchanted residents and visitors on April 13th with a theme as festive as it was imaginative: 'Abracadabra'. Magic, illusion, and wonder guided the creativity of the volunteer teams who, for weeks, prepared their floats in the town's workshops.

Floral Floats Under the Sign of Magic

On the big day, under a generous spring sun, the floats paraded through the streets of Le Lavandou and along the avenue by the sea. Each float told its own version of the 'Abracadabra' theme: here, a huge top hat from which white rabbits covered in yellow and orange gerberas emerged; there, a magic cabaret scene with a magician in long white floral veils and an assistant being made to disappear in a chest adorned with red roses.

Gerberas — those giant daisies with flamboyant colors — and carnations — for their durability, fragrance, and density — were the primary floral material for the decorators, assisted by tropical foliage, miniature coconut palm fronds made of flowers, and compositions of aromatic herbs evoking the scents of Provençal magic.

The Corso Queens and Brass Bands

On the floats and on foot, the corso queens — young women in costumes adorned with fresh flowers — greeted the public with bouquets thrown into the crowd. The brass bands and musical groups interspersed between the floats maintained the festive rhythm throughout the parade, with catchy tunes and popular covers.

A Parade Facing the Sea

What particularly enchanted the 2025 spectators was the special light of that April Sunday: the air was crystalline, the Golden Isles stood out clearly against the cobalt blue sea, and the colors of the floats — amplified by the brilliance of the Mediterranean sun — seemed even more vivid and luminous than usual. The thousands of people gathered on the sidewalks experienced a moment of pure collective celebration, spontaneous and joyful.
