Corso Fleuri du Mimosa de Bormes-les-Mimosas

82nd Corso Fleuri du Mimosa — February 2025

On February 16, 2025, Bormes-les-Mimosas vibrated to the rhythm of its 82nd Corso Fleuri. Under a Mediterranean sky bathed in winter light, the flower floats paraded in an explosion of golden yellow and intoxicating scents, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from all over the Var and neighboring regions.

More than 12 tons of mimosa freshly harvested from the hills of the Massif des Maures were mobilized to decorate the floats. Teams of florists and volunteers worked for several weeks—and often through the night before the parade—to create artistic compositions of remarkable precision and beauty. Each float was an ephemeral work of art, forming tableaux and characters entirely adorned with the golden clusters of mimosa.

Brass bands, majorettes, and folk groups in Provençal costumes accompanied the procession, creating a typically Provençal festive and colorful atmosphere. Mimosa throwers perched on the floats offered spectators armfuls of fresh flowers, perfuming the crowd amidst laughter and applause. Once again, the Corso Fleuri de Bormes delivered on its promise of wonder and conviviality.
