Disjoncté — Music Festival Without Electricity

A unique concept: 0 electricity, 100% acoustic

Disjoncté is a new kind of music festival. Organized since 2018 on the banks of Lac du Coiroux in Aubazines, Corrèze, it is based on a radical concept: no electricity is used, neither for instruments, nor for lighting, nor even for drinks.

At nightfall, the site is lit by 1000 fires, 2000 candles and the celestial vault offers its 30,000 stars. In this magical and intimate atmosphere, nearly 40 artists perform acoustically on 6 different stages, offering 7 hours of non-stop concerts.

An eclectic and secret lineup

The Disjoncté lineup is deliberately kept secret until the big day. This approach creates an atmosphere of discovery and surprise. The musical genres are varied: folk, French chanson, acoustic rock, world music, gypsy jazz... The essential thing is that everything is played acoustically, without electric amplification.

Spectators wander freely between the 6 stages, choosing their concerts based on their desires and encounters. Some stages are set up by the water, others in the woods, creating unique atmospheres.

Ecology and conviviality

Disjoncté is not just a music festival, it's also a strong ecological commitment. The absence of electricity drastically reduces the event's carbon footprint. Drinks are served cold using ice (no electric refrigerators), and a mobile pizza oven provides catering.

Entry is free, in a spirit of sharing and accessibility. Profits from the refreshment stands and catering fund the festival and support the projects of the organizing association.

A human adventure

Disjoncté mobilizes dozens of volunteers for stage setup, candle lighting, audience reception, and logistics. It is above all a collective adventure driven by enthusiasts of music, nature, and alternative events.

After 6 exceptional editions, the organizers announced that the 2024 edition would be the last, making Disjoncté a cult and regretted festival on the Corrèze music scene.
