Valence Craft Fair: Local Know-How in the Spotlight

The Valence Craft Fair is a major event for showcasing local craftsmanship, organized by the Chamber of Trades and Crafts (CMA) of Drôme. After a six-year absence, this fair made its grand return in 2025, confirming the region's commitment to its artisans and their exceptional skills.

Five Thematic Areas

The fair is organized around five main areas that reflect the diversity of Drôme's craftsmanship:

• Fine Crafts: Ceramists, glassblowers, cabinetmakers, jewelers, leatherworkers, tailors, and other artisans of art present their unique creations, testament to skills often passed down through generations.
• Habitat: Building trades artisans — carpenters, joiners, plumbers, electricians, painters — showcase their skills in construction and renovation.
• Decoration: Upholsterers, decorators, art blacksmiths, and designers offer original solutions to enhance interiors.
• Gastronomy: Bakers, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, charcuterie makers, cheesemakers, and other food artisans introduce the flavors of the Drôme and Ardèche regions.
• Well-being: Hairdressers, beauticians, artisanal soap makers, and well-being practitioners share their expertise.

Live Demonstrations

One of the major attractions of the Craft Fair is the opportunity to watch artisans at work. Live demonstrations allow visitors to understand the gestures, techniques, and passion that drive these professionals. From glass blowing to wood carving, and pastry decoration to leatherwork, these demonstrations offer a fascinating and educational spectacle.

Workshops and Activities for All

The fair offers participatory workshops for all ages, allowing visitors to try their hand at various artisanal techniques. Both children and adults can get involved – literally and figuratively – and leave with their own creations.
