Chaumont Book Fair

20th edition — "Singularities" — May 23 to 26, 2024

The Salon du Livre de Chaumont celebrated its 20th edition from May 23 to 26, 2024, around the theme "Singularities". This anniversary edition invited the public to discover authors who blur the lines between fiction, documentary, poetry, and comic strips, renewing pictorial and graphic approaches. Forty authors were welcomed by the Les Silos media library, representing all literary genres: novel, essay, comic strip, children's book, poetry, and theater.

A dozen illustrators were specially invited to highlight comic strips, with exhibitions and workshops at the Jésuites chapel. The program also included round tables, public readings, concerts at the Place des Arts, and the awarding of the fair's literary prize.

Prior to the public weekend, 50 school encounters allowed approximately 1,500 students from Chaumont and its surroundings to meet the invited authors and illustrators.

2024 Program

• Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24: School encounters with invited authors
• Saturday, May 25: Public opening of the fair, signings at the Philippe-Lebon square, BD exhibitions at the Jésuites chapel, children's literature at Le Signe with the Apostrophe bookstore, round tables and concerts at the Place des Arts
• Sunday, May 26: Signings, children's activities, literary prize award ceremony, closing of the fair
