The ArbraZik Festival is an open-air music event organized every summer by the Montbrison-Moingt Festival Committee in the green setting of the Parc des Thermes in Moingt (Loire). Born in 2024 but truly launched in 2025 after its first attempt was postponed due to weather, this festival showcases the regional rock and indie scene, particularly bands from Saint-Étienne and the Loire region. Located at the foot of the park's majestic giant sequoia, ArbraZik offers a friendly evening combining rock concerts, food trucks, and a festive atmosphere at an affordable price, in one of the most beautiful green settings in Forez.

A new festival born at the foot of a giant sequoia
In 2024, the Montbrison-Moingt Festival Committee launched an ambitious project: to create an open-air music festival in the Parc des Thermes in Moingt, a 36,000 m² green space nestled in the heart of the former Gallo-Roman spa town of Montbrison. The choice of location is not insignificant: it is the park's century-old giant sequoia that inspired the festival's name, ArbraZik, a contraction of 'arbre' (tree) and 'musique' (music). Unfortunately, this first edition planned for July 6, 2024, was postponed and then canceled due to very unfavorable weather conditions.
2025: The festival's true birth
It was finally on Saturday, July 5, 2025, that ArbraZik truly took flight. For this successful inaugural edition, the festival committee programmed four bands from the regional rock and indie scene: Les Naufragés, Novatom, 21 Grammes, and Salut l'Orage. Starting at 6 PM, the park came alive to the rhythm of a rock and festive evening that captivated the public from Montbrison and the Forez region. Food trucks completed the offering for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere under the park's ancient trees.
With deliberately accessible prices - €12 in advance and €15 on-site - the festival positions itself as a popular and open event for everyone, driven by the festival committee's desire to energize Montbrison's summer cultural life.
A festival that aims to last
Buoyed by the success of this first edition, the organizers quickly announced the festival's return for a second season in 2026, promising to "step up a notch." ArbraZik aims to become a lasting fixture in the cultural and festive landscape of Forez, offering a prime showcase for bands from the Saint-Étienne and Loire regions in an exceptional natural setting.
In case of unfavorable weather, a contingency plan is now in place at the Espace Guy Poirieux, ensuring the event can take place regardless of the conditions.

Second Edition: ArbraZik Steps Up a Notch
Building on the success of its first edition in 2025, the ArbraZik Festival returns on Saturday, July 4, 2026, to the Parc des Thermes in Moingt. The Montbrison-Moingt Festival Committee promises a second season that is even more ambitious: "Many of you loved the ArbraZik Festival 2025, come discover the second season. Warning, we're stepping up a notch!"
The musical lineup will be announced soon, but the organizers hint that the bill will be stronger than for the first edition. The festival retains its DNA: a festive rock evening outdoors, at the foot of the park's giant sequoia, with food trucks and a friendly atmosphere.
New for this edition: a contingency plan is officially in place at the Espace Guy Poirieux in case of unfavorable weather conditions, learning from the cancellation of the very first attempt in 2024.

Access
The festival takes place at the Parc des Thermes, Avenue thermale, Moingt, 42600 Montbrison. The park is located in the historic district of Moingt, a former Gallo-Roman spa town south of Montbrison.
- By car: From Saint-Étienne (40 min), take the A72 towards Clermont-Ferrand, exit Montbrison. From Lyon (1h15), follow the A47 then the A72. Free parking near the park.
- By train: Montbrison SNCF station on the Saint-Étienne - Montbrison line (TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), about 1.5 km from the Parc des Thermes.
