Edition 2025 — Artetango
17th edition of the Artetango Festival in Albi, from August 19 to 23, 2025. Opening evening at Café Plum in Lautrec with Trio Timba Tango, followed by four days at Pratgraussals hall with Quinteto Galván, Maestros Agustín Venturino & Natalia Agüero and Andrés Molina & Natacha Lockwood, and a ten-hour semi-marathon Despedida.
17th Edition — August 2025
The 17th edition of the Artetango Festival took place from August 19 to 23, 2025 in Albi and its surroundings, confirming this event's place as one of the most complete and vibrant Argentine tango festivals in France.
Tuesday, August 19 — Opening Off-Site
The week opened at the Café Plum in Lautrec with the Trio Timba Tango: Pedro Ratto on guitar and vocals, Julien Blondel on piano, and Charles Humbert on double bass. An intimate concert dedicated to street tango and popular tango, in the magical setting of the Café Plum's plane trees, with the option of dinner upon reservation.
Wednesday, August 20 — Opening at Pratgraussals Hall
Guided tour of medieval Albi in costume in the morning (Tourist Office). From 2 PM, afternoon ball hosted by DJ Olga La Cachila (Spain). The afternoon featured a workshop on Argentine folklore with Ay Aurora: scarf handling and vueltas. In the evening, after an exclusive buffet dinner for full pass holders with Quinteto Galván and Ay Aurora, the concert-milonga began at 9 PM with the Quinteto Galván — a trio of bandoneons, guitar, and violin — followed by the milonga hosted by DJ Punto y Branca until 3 AM.
Thursday, August 21 — Conferences and Grand Milonga
The day began with a conference on the history of danced tango with Maestros Agustín and Natalia, and a preparatory yoga class for dancing with Marjorie. In the afternoon, Maestro workshops and afternoon ball with DJ Punto y Branca. In the evening, a conference by Pedro Galván on the artisanal making of the bandoneon in his family workshop. The night ended with a grand milonga with DJ Aurora Fornuto (dynamic tandas until 3:30 AM).
Friday, August 22 — Concert with Demonstrations
New Maestro classes (classes 3 to 5) with Agustín and Natalia in the morning, outdoor yoga with Marjorie, then workshops in the afternoon (classes 4, 5, and 6) and afternoon ball with international DJs. Dinner break at 7:30 PM (salad, empanadas, pizza with local products). Concert-milonga from 9 PM with the Quinteto Galván, punctuated by demonstrations from the couples Andrés Molina and Natacha Lockwood (Paris) and Agustín Venturino and Natalia Agüero (Brussels).
Saturday, August 23 — The Semi-Marathon Despedida
Follower technique class with Natacha Lockwood in the morning. Maestro workshops in the afternoon. Then, from 3:30 PM until 1:30 AM: ten hours of non-stop dancing for the Despedida, the grand closing session. Two DJs took turns — Aurora Fornuto and Andrés Molina — with a live musical interlude by Simone Tolomeo and Brian Chambouleyron (bandoneon, guitar, vocals). On-site catering: organic bar, empanadas, pizzas, cakes, and Cosmopol'eat food truck.
