Chorus des Enfants Festival: Music for Sharing for Ages 0-12

The Chorus des Enfants Festival is one of the most anticipated young audience music events in Hauts-de-Seine. Organized as part of the major Hauts-de-Seine Chorus Festival supported by the Department, it takes place every spring at La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, within the architectural setting of Île Seguin. Its mission: to offer children and their families a high-quality musical experience that is accessible, fun, and enlightening.

Unlike many children's festivals, Chorus des Enfants avoids the easy route and demagoguery. Each edition brings together talented artists from very diverse musical backgrounds – world music, electro, jazz, traditional music, contemporary music – who share the conviction that young audiences deserve demanding and generous creations. The shows are designed for various age groups, from toddlers aged 0 upwards to pre-teens, with short, rhythmic formats adapted for each group.

A Weekend Dedicated to the Family

The festival takes place over a two-day weekend, generally featuring five to six shows per day spread across several spaces at La Seine Musicale: the Auditorium Patrick Devedjian for more formal productions, the RiFFX for more experimental and intimate formats, and the Parvis for free access activities. This multiplicity of venues allows families to create their own program according to ages and preferences.

The shows typically last between 30 and 50 minutes, with sufficient breaks between performances for children to rest, play, discover the activity stands offered in the spaces of La Seine Musicale, or simply enjoy the terrace overlooking the Seine. The atmosphere is that of a large, friendly celebration, where families gather and share their musical favorites.

Very Diverse Musical Worlds

Each edition of Chorus des Enfants is an invitation to a musical journey. Eclecticism is a hallmark: you can hear kora mixed with electronics, contemporary percussion music, acoustic jazz, songs in multiple languages, beatbox performances, or chamber orchestra creations. This thoughtful diversity allows every child to find their entry point into music, regardless of their sensitivity or prior experience.

The programmed artists are often on tour in major young audience music venues in France and abroad, ensuring a high artistic level of programming. Some shows are original creations specifically started for the festival, giving the event a dimension of discovery and exclusivity appreciated by families.
