Festival Cinémots, born in 2021, is a film festival organized at the Max Linder cinema in Ribérac, in Dordogne. The Festival Cinémots is a unique cinematic event in Périgord Vert, created in 2021 at the Max Linder cinema in Ribérac. The festival aims to cross the worlds of cinema and literature by inviting directors, screenwriters, and writers to discuss their works.
Over several days, the festival features film screenings, round tables, master classes, and encounters between artists and the public. The first edition hosted director Nicolas Boukhrief and novelist Maylis de Kerangal, highlighting the ambition to foster dialogue between the 7th art and literature.
