Convivencia 2025: a musical crossing of Occitanie
The 2025 edition of the Convivencia festival unfolded over three weeks in July on the waters of the Canal du Midi. The barge Le Tourmente sailed at 5 km/h over approximately 400 km, stopping each evening in a new Occitan town to offer a completely free world music concert.
Among the 14 to 15 stops of this edition, Tarn-et-Garonne was crossed with evenings in Montech and Grisolles. In Montech, the barge moored near the famous hydraulic water slope, transforming this heritage site into an open-air guinguette stage for a memorable evening.
The 2025 program featured artists of world music from sub-Saharan Africa, the Maghreb, Eastern Europe, and the Mediterranean basin, true to the spirit of openness and cultural dialogue that has characterized Convivencia since its inception. Radio Convivencia provided live coverage from the riverbanks, mixing reports, artist interviews, and resident testimonials.
