The Festival d'Arvor returns from August 14th to 16th, 2026, in the historic center of Vannes for a new edition celebrating Breton culture. On the program: concerts, festoù-noz, street performances, election of the Majestés d'Arvor, and fireworks on the ramparts.

Festival d'Arvor 2026

The Festival d'Arvor 2026 will take place from August 14th to 16th, 2026 in Vannes. The historic center of the city of the Veneti will once again host this great celebration of Breton culture, with concerts, festoù-noz, parades in traditional costumes, and numerous activities for the whole family.

The full program will be unveiled in the spring of 2026 on the festival's official website.

Programme

The 5th edition of the Arvor Festival takes place from Friday, August 14 to Sunday, August 16, 2026, in the historic center of Vannes (port, ramparts, Place des Lices, rampart gardens, Les Carmes). The main theme of the 2026 program is Breton matriheritage, presented through exhibitions, conferences, parades, and stage creations.

Evening entertainment to launch the festival: aperitif-concerts and first festoù-noz at the rampart gardens.

Saturday, August 15, 2026

  • During the day: initiations, conferences, and concerts at the port and in the Les Carmes district
  • Election of the Majesties of Arvor in front of the City Hall, a traditional highlight of the festival (August 15 has been associated with this election since 1965)
  • In the evening: semi-nocturnal parade, festoù-noz, and concerts

A day of entertainment (concerts, festoù-noz, street shows, artisan villages) concluding the edition with a grand parade bringing together Celtic circles and bagadoù in the streets of Vannes.
