Edition 2024 — FCEN
The 33rd edition of the Nantes Spanish Film Festival was held from March 22 to April 1, 2024, exploring the dialogue between the 7th and 9th art forms. Over 70 films, half of them new, were screened with 200 showings and 40 guests. Víctor Erice, the legendary Spanish filmmaker, offered a masterclass at the Théâtre Graslin preceded by a screening of his latest feature film 'Close Your Eyes'.
33rd Edition — The Dialogue Between Cinema and Comics
The 2024 edition of the Nantes Spanish Film Festival placed the dialogue between the 7th art and the 9th art at the heart of its program, exploring the links between cinema and comics through a rich and eclectic selection.
Over 70 films were presented, half of them new in France, accompanied by 200 screenings in original version with subtitles at Cinéma Katorza, Théâtre Graslin, and Espace Cosmopolis.
Víctor Erice, Guest of Honor
The Spanish filmmaker Víctor Erice, a major figure in world cinema, was the guest of honor for this 33rd edition. He offered a masterclass at the Théâtre Graslin on March 28, preceded by the screening of his latest feature film 'Close Your Eyes' ('Cerrar los ojos'), his first film in thirty years.

Five official competitions structured the selection: Fiction, Documentary, First Film, Short Film, and School, with six awards presented by professional juries and the public.
