11th Festival de la Chanson Française et Francophone — April 2025

The 11th edition of the Festival de la Chanson Française et Francophone de Sorgues took place from April 7 to 18, 2025, in the spaces of the Pôle culturel de Sorgues. This edition, under the unifying theme 'The Faces of Volunteering', paid tribute to all those who bring associative culture and daily collective life to life.

The program offered an immersion into French-language song through several concerts and shows: from classic chanson with popular repertoire (Brassens, Brel, Piaf, Ferré) to new contemporary chanson writings, including Francophone voices from Belgium, Africa, or Quebec. The theme of volunteering ran through the shows as a common thread – committed songs, lyrics about solidarity and mutual aid, tributes to local associations.

The Spring Concerts on April 7, 8, and 9 opened the festival with local musical groups, creating a link between the professional stage and the enlightened amateur. Students from the École de Musique et Danse de Sorgues presented their work in this warm setting. The Jean Tortel media library offered an exhibition and complementary activities related to the festival's theme.
