2025 edition of the Festival de la Joye in Joyeuse. A week of live performances in the historic alleys of the village, with street theater troupes, costumed parades involving about a hundred extras, and cultural activities for all audiences.
Street theater and heritage celebration
The 2025 edition of the Festival de la Joye offered a rich program of street performances in the historic heart of Joyeuse. Theater troupes took over the squares, alleys, and courtyards of the village to present shows blending historical narratives and contemporary creations. The grand costumed parade brought together about a hundred extras in period costumes, parading through the village streets to the sound of ancient music.
Craft workshops, open-air concerts, and theatrical tours of the old town completed the program, offering visitors a complete immersion into the history and culture of the former Duchy of Joyeuse.
