The 2024 Bread Festival
The 2024 edition of the Collonges-la-Rouge Bread Festival took place on the first weekend of August 2024 (August 3-4) in the heart of the medieval village. The communal oven located under the 16th-century market hall was relit for the occasion, allowing volunteers to bake artisanal bread using ancestral techniques.
Visitors were able to witness the preparation and baking of bread over a wood fire, taste and purchase freshly baked loaves, and discover the local produce offered at the gourmet market. The friendly atmosphere and authenticity of this festival delighted locals and tourists alike, contributing to the promotion of the heritage and traditional know-how of Collonges-la-Rouge.
