18th edition of the Festival des Bandas en Basse Ariège in Mazères. 7 bandas and 250 musicians animated the streets of the bastide on Saturday evening, followed by the fanfare wake-up call and the awards ceremony on Sunday morning.
18th Festival des Bandas en Basse Ariège
The 18th edition of the Festival des Bandas en Basse Ariège took place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 7 PM to 2 AM, in the streets of Mazères. 7 bandas and 250 musicians made the medieval bastide vibrate in a popular festival atmosphere, with refreshment stands, bodegas, and food available on site. The next day, Sunday, July 28, the traditional fanfare wake-up call took place at 10 AM, followed by the festival's awards ceremony at 1:30 PM.
