28th Edition: From Sambatik to Haylen, a Spring of Music
The 28th edition of the Jazz'titudes festival took place from March 15 to May 31, 2025, offering about thirteen musical events in the Laonnois region. The program once again explored all facets of jazz and its related music: blues, gospel, manouche, vocal jazz, swing, pop-rock, funk, and soul.
The opening was provided by Sambatik on March 15, before a weekend of intense concerts from March 20 to 22 with Sandra Nkaké (as part of the 'Elles' series), Ana Carla Maza, a Cuban-French-Spanish cellist and singer, and Manu Lanvin, a figure of French blues. Abdoulaye Kouyaté Trio brought West African sounds on March 29, while Guilty Delight and Two Fiddlers animated the beginning of April.
A screening of the film Bird enriched the cinematic aspect of the festival on April 8. Christophe Sabbioni 4tet and You Rascal Band 6tet continued the season in April, followed by the Jimmy Jazz Orchestra on May 3 and the gospel of Chérubins Gospel on May 22. The closing was entrusted to Haylen, a soul-blues-rock artist, on May 31 in Vailly-sur-Aisne.
