Jazz and its related music in the heart of the medieval city of Laon
Created in 1997, the Jazz'titudes de Laon festival is a major cultural event in the Aisne region dedicated to jazz and its related music: blues, gospel, gypsy jazz, soul, funk, pop, and rock. Unlike festivals concentrated over a weekend, Jazz'titudes unfolds over nearly three months, from March to May, with a dozen concerts spread between the Maison des Arts et Loisirs, Laon Cathedral, and several surrounding towns. Driven by a team of passionate volunteers, the festival prioritizes proximity between artists and the public, in intimate and heritage settings in the Laonnois region.
Since its creation in 1997, the Jazz'titudes festival has established itself as the flagship cultural event of the Laonnois region and one of the most important jazz gatherings in the Hauts-de-France. Supported by the Jazz'titudes association, a team of passionate volunteers chaired by Pascal Courtet, the festival has built a unique identity over its editions: that of a jazz festival open to all related music – blues, gospel, gypsy jazz, soul, funk, flamenco, afro-jazz, pop, and rock – in an exceptional heritage setting.
The peculiarity of Jazz'titudes lies in its format spread over nearly three months, from March to May. Unlike festivals concentrated over a weekend, this long-term programming allows for a dozen concerts spread out over time, offering the public the opportunity to discover various artists at a regular pace. Each edition mixes national and international headliners, emerging artists, and local talents, in an eclectic and demanding program.
The heart of the festival beats in Laon, a medieval city perched on its hill, but the concerts spread throughout the territory. The Maison des Arts et Loisirs (Place Aubry) hosts the major concerts, while the majestic Notre-Dame de Laon Cathedral offers a unique acoustic setting for gospel and sacred music concerts. Other towns in the Laonnois – Chambry, Crépy, Anizy-le-Grand, Vailly-sur-Aisne, Sissonne – participate in this territorial network that enriches the festival.
Throughout its editions, Jazz'titudes has hosted top-tier artists. The 2024 edition (27th) notably featured Matt Bianco, Baptiste Trotignon, Gabi Hartmann, Little Bob Blues Bastards, Joniece Jamison, and the D-Day Ladies. In 2025 (28th edition), the public will discover Ana Carla Maza, Sandra Nkaké, Manu Lanvin, and Haylen. The 2026 edition (29th) promises an equally rich program with Sanseverino as the headliner, Antonio Lizana, The Jive Aces, Total Praise Mass Choir, Gaelle Buswel, and Nothing But The Blues.
Jazz'titudes offers affordable prices (€24 full price, €18 reduced price, €7 for children's concerts) and a Pass'titudes system offering cumulative discounts for the most loyal spectators. Free outdoor concerts and sessions at the Mosaïc complement the paid program, ensuring access to music for all audiences. Children under 10 benefit from free admission.

The 29th edition of the Jazz'titudes festival runs from March 7 to May 30, 2026, offering 12 concerts that explore all facets of jazz and its related music: gospel, blues, swing, gypsy jazz, flamenco, and afro-jazz. The festival continues to shine far beyond Laon, with concerts in several towns in the Laonnois region.
The opening is entrusted to Mama Shakers on March 7, setting the tone for an edition marked by musical diversity. Antonio Lizana, a Spanish artist blending jazz and flamenco, performs on March 12, followed by the unmissable Jive Aces on March 13 with their energetic swing. The highlight of the edition is the concert by Sanseverino on Saturday, March 14, an iconoclastic French artist navigating between gypsy jazz, rockabilly, and chanson.
Christophe Lartilleux continues the season on March 21, before Nothing But The Blues on March 27 for an evening dedicated to authentic blues. The month of April is punctuated by Sonadero (April 11) and JB Moundele (April 25), while Anne Carleton performs on April 30. The month of May opens with the majestic Total Praise Mass Choir on May 22 for a gospel concert, followed by MOHS on May 23, before the closing entrusted to Gaelle Buswel on May 30.
