Un Été à Reims: The City That Never Sleeps in Summer
Un Été à Reims is the flagship summer program of the City of Reims, designed so that every resident can enjoy a summer rich in discoveries, culture, and leisure, regardless of their neighborhood. From mid-June to mid-September, the city rolls out a vibrant program of free activities open to all.
Open-Air Cinema: Magical Evenings in the Heart of the Neighborhoods
From July to the end of August, open-air cinema screenings travel through the neighborhoods of Reims. Each screening is a friendly and participatory event: shared picnics, artistic activities, film quizzes, followed by a screening on the big screen at dusk. The films, chosen to appeal to the widest audience, allow for rediscovering classics or enjoying recent releases in everyday locations.
Reims Activ'été: Over 150 Free Activities for Young People
From early July to the end of August, the Reims Activ'été program offers over 150 free activities for young people from Reims aged 6 to 18. Sports (archery, climbing, football, swimming), arts and creativity (circus, sewing, urban dance, painting), discoveries (dog sledding, horse riding, caving): the choice is immense and allows young people to discover new passions throughout the summer.
Concerts, Shows, and Activities Throughout the City
Throughout the summer, free concerts, street performances, exhibitions, and participatory workshops liven up the parks, squares, and public spaces of Reims. The programming mixes local and regional artists, performing arts companies, and citizen initiatives, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality.
An Inclusive and Unifying Program
Un Été à Reims is part of an accessibility and inclusion approach. All activities are free, and particular attention is paid to priority neighborhoods so that every resident of Reims can benefit from the summer cultural and leisure offerings. The program is the result of collaboration between the City, local associations, and cultural stakeholders in the area.

Un Été à Reims returns in 2026 for a new summer season of free activities in all districts of the city, from mid-June to mid-September. The City of Reims has confirmed the program will take place with its usual highlights: Reims Activ'été (from July 6 to August 21, 2026, 180+ free activities for 6-17 year olds), Ciné Plein Air dans les quartiers (from July 9 to August 29, 2026, 6 films and 3 film-snack sessions) and Festiv'Été at Parc de Champagne at the end of summer. Un Été à Reims 2026: Three Months of Free Activities
The City of Reims is renewing its flagship summer program Un Été à Reims in 2026, which runs from mid-June to mid-September throughout all districts of the city. The official page «Un été à Reims 2026» is online at reims.fr, and several sub-events have already published their dates.
Reims Activ'été: From July 6 to August 21, 2026
Reims Activ'été is the youth component of the program. From Monday, July 6 to Friday, August 21, 2026, over 180 free activities are offered to children and teenagers born between August 22, 2008, and February 29, 2020, residing in Reims or a partner municipality. Activities are organized from Monday to Friday (morning, afternoon, or full day) at various sites across the city, supervised by qualified educators.
Disciplines include: sports (archery, climbing, football, swimming, horse riding), arts (urban dance, guitar, theater, circus, sewing, painting), creativity, and professional discovery. Registrations open on Monday, June 1, 2026 on reimsactivete.fr; activity bookings begin on Wednesday, June 24 for July activities and Monday, July 20 for August activities. A dedicated transport card, the MobiPass Reims Activ'été, allows travel on the Citura network for 18 € for the entire two months.
Ciné Plein Air dans les quartiers: From July 9 to August 29, 2026
Coordinated by La Pellicule Ensorcelée, Un Été à Reims' Ciné Plein Air offers a program of 6 films and 3 film-snack sessions from Thursday, July 9 to Saturday, August 29, 2026. Screenings take place in several parks and public spaces in Reims, notably the Parc de Champagne (10 avenue du Général Giraud) and the Parc Saint-Bruno (64 rue Newton), accessible by Citura tram and bus.
The classic schedule for a Ciné Plein Air evening:
- 7:00 PM — Site opening
- 8:00 PM — Shared picnic (tables, chairs, and communal barbecues provided)
- 8:30 PM — Artistic entertainment by Reims cultural organizations (music, dance)
- 10:00 PM — Cinema quiz with prizes to win
- 10:30 PM — Film screening on a giant screen
Film-snack sessions are also scheduled in the afternoon for young audiences. Note a new feature in 2026: Damery en Fête offers an open-air cinema screening in the Damery town hall park on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Festiv'Été at Parc de Champagne
As every summer, Festiv'Été closes the season at Parc de Champagne, usually the last week of August. The event brings together over fifty associative structures offering free activities for young people aged 7 to 17: sports, arts, discovery workshops, entertainment. Exact 2026 dates will be announced on reims.fr during the summer.
Concerts, Shows, and Installations Throughout the City
In addition to these three main components, Un Été à Reims 2026 will continue to offer free concerts, street performances, exhibitions, artistic installations, artistic entertainment in markets, as well as recurring events such as Chill in Reims, the Guinguette rémoise, and Jazz aux Boulingrin.
