Contemporary art in the Champagne vineyards

Created in 2018, Vign'Art is a unique festival that combines contemporary art and land art with the wine landscapes of Champagne. Every year, from May to September, artists take over the Champagne vineyards to create ephemeral installations that interact with the terroir, the hillsides, and the wine heritage classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

An artistic trail through the vineyard

For the 2025 edition, 18 contemporary works are spread across 17 communes between the Épernay urban area, Grand Reims, Grande Vallée de la Marne, and Paysages de la Champagne. Among the notable installations: "3 km de rayon" by Mathieu Arfouillaud in Mancy, a wall of painted artistic beehives evoking the symbiosis between bees and vines, or "Cérès Patrona Vitis" by Nora Simon in Grauves, a monumental fresco representing the goddess of harvests watching over the vineyards.

100% free and accessible

One of Vign'Art's strengths lies in its total accessibility. The festival is 100% free and the works are accessible 24 hours a day, allowing everyone to discover the installations at their own pace, during a walk through the vineyards. Cultural mediation tours are also offered to deepen the discovery.

An ambitious educational program

The festival develops an educational component with the "Écol'Art" program, which allows classes from the Marne region to participate in awareness workshops at the exhibition sites. In 2025, 11 classes benefited from this program at five different sites, introducing young people to contemporary art and environmental respect.

The communes of the Vign'Art trail

The festival takes place in many Champagne communes: Aÿ, Hautvillers, Champillon, Épernay, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Vertus, Avize, Mancy, Grauves, Vinay, Sermiers, Chamery, Villers-Allerand, Ludes, Verzy, Mailly-Champagne, Cuchery, and many others. Each commune hosts one or more works, creating a true discovery trail through the vineyard.
