Itinéraires Festival — edition 2026

Tickets →

The Itinéraires Festival returns from September 11th to 27th, 2026, with eleven free events featuring circus, street theater, classical music, rap, and chanson. The performances will be held across eleven communes in the Marne region—from the Château de Montmort-Lucy to the Hermonville cooperage, and even the Vatry airport.

2026 Edition

Organized by the Marne Department and supported by the Fondation Braux-sous-Valmy – Institut de France, the Itinéraires Festival takes place from September 11th to 27th, 2026, across eleven communes in the department. With a program spanning street theater, circus, classical music, rap, and chanson, the festival travels throughout the Marne territory, from Montmirail to Sainte-Ménehould and from Crugny to Maisons-en-Champagne.

Two new features this year

The festival will premiere a "Made in Marne" creation born from the "Itinéraires bis" call for projects: La diagonale du vide, by the Collectif Terrain vague, on September 18th in Sainte-Ménehould. It also introduces "Chemins de traverse," a series of artist meet-and-greets organized by the Marne Departmental Library in its network of media libraries (Montmirail, Anglure, Val-de-Vesle).

Unique venues

The Château de Montmort-Lucy is opening its doors for a special musical tour. Other performances will be hosted at the Cheminon market hall, the Maison Vide in Crugny, the Square Pasteur in Sainte-Ménehould, the Saint-Pierre church in Maisons-en-Champagne, the Champagne cooperage in Hermonville, and the Vatry airport. The events on September 19th and 20th are part of the European Heritage Days: at Vatry, airport facilities will be open for tours from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, with access to the control tower every 30 minutes.

An eco-friendly festival

For its 2026 edition, the festival is working with the Éco-Manifestations Champagne-Ardenne branch of the EMeRGE network to achieve official certification. Its eco-responsibility charter is available on the Marne Department's website.

Reservations

All performances are free. As seating is limited for some events, booking is highly recommended: online via the festival's Billetweb ticketing site, or by calling 03 26 69 40 89.

A unique cultural project in Marne

The Itinéraires Festival is more than just a festival: it is a true cultural project driven by the Department of Marne since 2000. Every year in September, this event invites the public to crisscross the Marne territory to discover quality performances in remarkable and unusual heritage sites.

An eclectic and demanding program

The Itinéraires Festival's program is distinguished by its eclecticism and artistic quality. Contemporary circus, theater, classical music, contemporary music, song: disciplines cross and respond to each other throughout the performances. Artists take over churches, barns, castles, and natural spaces, transforming each location into an ephemeral stage.

Marne heritage as a setting

One of the festival's unique features is its focus on showcasing the architectural and natural heritage of the Marne. Performances take place in exceptional sites, often unknown to the general public, offering a dual discovery: that of living art and that of the territory. This traveling approach allows it to reach a wide audience, including in rural areas far from major performance venues.

A unifying event

Free and open to all, the Itinéraires Festival unites the department's residents around culture. It creates genuine moments of sharing and conviviality, strengthening the bonds between the communes and their inhabitants. Supported by the Braux-sous-Valmy Foundation – Institut de France, the festival benefits from sustainable funding that allows it to maintain a high level of artistic excellence.
