A Christmas Market with Champagne Charm

For over thirty years, the Village de Noël de Châlons-en-Champagne has illuminated the historic center of the city throughout December. Located on Place Foch and Place de la République, as well as in Rue de la Marne, Rue des Fripiers, and Rue des Lombards, the Christmas market brings together about forty wooden chalets offering artisanal creations, jewelry, hats, leather goods, clothing, ceramics, and quality gastronomic products.

Gourmet Treats and Local Specialties

Food lovers are not left out with a rich and varied gastronomic offer: fresh oysters, artisanal chocolates, pâtés en croûte, pink biscuits from Reims, and products from the Champagne region. The catering chalets offer mulled wine, hot chocolate, and other winter treats to warm up while strolling through the market aisles.

Magical Entertainment for the Whole Family

The Village de Noël is not limited to the market: the entire town adorns itself in its finest attire to offer a magical experience to visitors. An ice rink is set up in front of the station and on Place du Général Leclerc, an enchanted carousel turns at Les Halles and Place Victor Hugo, while a giant Christmas tree stands at the heart of the city. Street performances, an ice sculptor, concerts, face painting workshops, a photo studio with Father Christmas, and boat trips complete the festive program.

The Grand Christmas Parade

The highlight of the festivities, the grand Christmas parade, gathers thousands of spectators in the streets of the city center each year. The magical procession accompanies the descent of Father Christmas, followed by a pyrotechnic show that lights up the Châlons sky. This emblematic event beautifully concludes the Christmas market period.
