The third largest Christmas market in France
The Reims Christmas Market has established itself as the third largest Christmas market in France. Located on the majestic Hautes-Promenades Jean-Louis Schneiter and the esplanade of the Porte de Mars, it offers an exceptional setting just a stone's throw from the famous Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral. Every year, nearly 150 wooden chalets host artisans and merchants from all over France and Europe, offering original creations, gourmet specialties, and gift ideas for the holidays.
The Artisans' Village is the beating heart of the market. Here you can discover handmade jewelry, homemade Christmas decorations, scented candles, wooden toys, and many other treasures. For gastronomy, visitors can enjoy mulled wine, gingerbread, fine chocolates, regional cheeses, and Champagne specialties. Local producers highlight the terroir of the Marne and Champagne regions.
The entertainment program is rich and varied throughout the market. Wednesday afternoons are dedicated to musical entertainment, Fridays host concerts and shows, while Saturdays resonate with Christmas carols performed by choirs. Santa's Grotto welcomes children until December 24th for magical souvenir photos. A free miniature train runs through the market for the delight of young and old alike. The 50-meter Ferris wheel installed on Place d'Erlon offers a breathtaking view of the illuminated city.
Created in the 1990s, the Reims Christmas Market has become an unmissable event during the holiday season in the Grand Est region. Its prime location, in the heart of the historic city center, makes it an ideal destination for a winter getaway combining culture, heritage, and Christmas festivities.
The 29th edition of the Reims Christmas Market will once again take over the Hautes-Promenades Jean-Louis Schneiter for a month of festivities and gourmet and artisanal discoveries in the heart of the city of coronations.
The Christmas Market is held on the Hautes-Promenades Jean-Louis Schneiter, in the city center of Reims. Access by tram: stop « Opéra » or « Langlet » (lines A and B). By car, several underground parking lots are accessible nearby (parking Cathédrale, parking Buirette). Reims Centre SNCF station is a 10-minute walk away.
