The comic strip festival in Vitry-le-François
Bulles en Champagne is the annual gathering for comic book enthusiasts in Vitry-le-François. Organized by the Numi's Club, this free festival takes over the magnificent renovated and glass-enclosed market hall in the city center every first weekend of October, welcoming around fifty artists, publishers, and specialized merchants.
The strength of Bulles en Champagne lies in its friendliness and accessibility. Free entry allows everyone to discover the world of comic books, meet authors, and get their favorite albums signed. Thematic exhibitions, activities for young audiences, and meetings with artists create a warm atmosphere conducive to exchanges and discoveries.
Each edition is placed under the honorary presidency of a renowned author who brings their vision and reputation to the event. After Janry, the famous cartoonist of Spirou and Petit Spirou (20th edition, 2025), it is cartoonist Dav (David Augereau) who presides over the 21st edition in 2026. This tradition highlights different facets of French-language and international comic books.
Created in 2006, Bulles en Champagne celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025, testifying to the vitality and longevity of this event in the cultural landscape of the Marne region. Driven by the passionate volunteers of the Numi's Club, the festival has grown and attracted an ever-wider audience, making Vitry-le-François a recognized destination for lovers of the ninth art.
